Along with bowls being back we are able to host some Christmas functions. The club decided to only do some during the day so we don’t exceed any capacity limits and it is covid safe. We have only been taking bookings for a short time, and we are nearly full.
we look forward to a better 2021 with everybody, as we are able to do more we will get more info out here.

As we continue to navigate the end of lockdown and living with Covid, in a new normal. Victoria still has a number of restrictions that do not allow us to operate normally. As such until the 22nd of November when we see the latest round of restrictions we are not accepting any barefoot bowls or event bookings. At this point the Auburn Bowls club has to look after our members first and a further decision will me made on or shortly after the 22nd. We thank everybody for their understanding it is a tough time for everyone, and we want nothing more than to throw open the doors and welcome every one in.
We are very pleased to announce that as of the 22nd at 4pm the Bar will be re-opened. It has been some 91 Days since we had to close due to Covid-19 and we are very happy to be back and serving members and catching up with our mates and club members.
Finally some good news, we have been given the green light for members to start bowling again. It is only in small numbers but that means we can get back out there and have a roll and laugh and check on our fellow bowlers.

This Melbourne Cup Eve, we are combining our famous Wine & Cheese evening with a very special event for members and their family and friends, with guest speaker Leigh Woodgate.
In the early 1990s, Leigh was a champion steeplechase jockey, and the only woman to win the Great Mountain Race in the Victorian High Country. On 1 July 1994, Leigh suffered a life-threatening fall from her mount during a race that was broadcast nationally. Her injuries were horrific – nearly every bone was broken, both lungs were punctured, she had brain damage, a detached retina, and she spent 17 days in a coma.
This is not about racing: It’s the truly inspiring story of a young woman’s fight for survival and her strength and courage against the odds, and against horrendous injuries and pain.
It’s a story of determination, and it will leave you inspired.
